Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist?
No. Physiotherapy is direct-access in Ontario, so you can book an assessment with us directly. Some extended health plans ask for a referral before they reimburse, so it is worth checking your policy.
Do you direct bill my insurance?
Yes. We bill directly to most insurance providers, so in most cases you only pay any portion your plan does not cover. See the insurers we direct bill.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your physiotherapist will review your history, discuss your symptoms and goals, and assess how you are moving. You will get an explanation in plain language, begin treatment the same visit, and leave with a home exercise plan. More about your first visit.
Do you take WSIB claims?
Not directly. Our partner clinic, Spectrum Physiotherapy, handles WSIB claims. We can still help with work-related injuries treated through your extended health benefits. Read our guide to work injuries and WSIB.
Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP at your clinic?
We do not offer OHIP-funded physiotherapy. Most of our patients use extended health benefits, and we direct bill most providers.

Our clinic is at 20 Charles Street in Newmarket, and we see patients from across York Region including Aurora, Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, King City, Bradford, Keswick and Mount Albert.
